The Grotto of Blessed Diego

Below the Castle, at the foot of the hill, there is a small natural cave named after Blessed Diego, a Carmelite friar native of Sinagra, who found rest here during the night. It is said that it was he himself who dug a bed and a kneeler with his hands in order to retire to a hermit's life, praying and serving the Lord with fasting and penance.
