Municipal Art Gallery - Giuseppe Tomasi

The Giuseppe Tomasi Municipal Art Gallery is housed in the 19th-century municipal building, together with the Franchina-Letizia Ethnophotographic Museum. Testimonies of ancient and contemporary Sicilian art find space in the Municipal Art Gallery which houses precious 17th century paintings by Giuseppe Tomasi da Tortorici, valuable paintings by contemporary artists, such as the Oricense painter Giuseppe Vanadia and other testimonies of local artistic craftsmanship: they are kept at the inside there are also the precious solid silver clubs of the 16th century. The building also houses a section of the Municipal Library which brings together works by Nebrodi writers and writings on the Nebrodi.
